Oslo Walk Shawl Home Stretch

Only a few short rows away from casting off! This picture shows the center panel of the shawl, the widest part, the short row makes a lovely crescent shape. This shawl has been a quick knit, and I will miss the buttery yarn and easy pattern when I'm done.

On the cheap knitting front, couple of weeks ago we went to Michael's to buy a frame and there was a huge yarn clearance (you know where this is going). I scored eight balls of Paton's Classic Wool, $2.99 each, all same dye lot. That's enough for a sweater for me. Made my day!

Don't forget to visit Andrea's blog where Fiber Arts Friday party is going, lots of cool people and cool projects there.

That shawl is so lovely! I can't wait to see it blocked. The greens are just breathtaking and I like how the knitted pattern is reflected in your choice of yarn.

Hooray for a good yarn deal. That color will be beautiful on you.

That shawl is coming along nicely.

Congrats on the huge yarn score.

Thanks for the monster suggestion, it made me laugh. :-)

Thank you for your commments on my Made in the USA post. I appreciate your point of view. I think China is on the verge of being the next "super power" and I think all of the manufacturing over the last 20 years has a lot to do with it.

Gorgeous!!! And love the new yarn. I was at Joann's today and they were having a clearance on some of their yarn as well......I'm a sucker for a good deal!

Nice Oslo Walk - love Susanna IC patterns! I like seeing your lifeline (although maybe you didn't need it on this project?).

Also on the Patons score - their wool yarns need more love; they are definitely underrated.

Voie de Vie, the lifeline was used while I had to rip back about five rows of lace. It's all good now! and I'll take out the lifeline when I'm done casting off.

I really like your shawl, the color is so refreshing, like a ripe Honeydew. Good score on the cheap stuff! Have a great day!
