Notes: The Ten Stitch pattern series (all designed by Frankie Brown) are very popular on Ravelry. It's a simple concept, you cast on ten stitches, keep knitting them and use short rows for shaping, picking up stitches as needed. I'm using the blanket pattern, but instead of making a square, I'll make a very long and narrow rectangle, which would be a scarf. It's a little mind bending to make the U-turn, and picking up along the side is a bit of nuisance. Other than that, the knitting is very easy!

Ohh, it looks great! I've had a couple of the ten-stitch patterns in my queue for years now, I think the circle and the square blankets.
Never heard of this Ten Stitch Blanket, but I'll go check it out on Ravelry. Looking forward to seeing how this comes out.
I am sure it will become a pattern after a bit of picking up sts. A friend is doing a blanket in colorful yarns. It's so cute!
I've never heard of this either. Thanks for sharing....will have to check it out on Ravelry.
I love the colours! Yes I know what you mean about the corners and picking up stitches, there's a scraps blanket I started couple of years ago and it's been lying dormant... Good luck with yours, at least it's easy to put down/pick up :)
Love the colors!
That should make a very fun scarf!
Sounds like you are exercising your brain! You always pick out some of the most interesting patterns.
It's beginning to look verrry interesting! Can't wait to see the finished scarf. (Will it stay 'two times' as wide as it is, like at the turn?) XO-
I have a 10 stitch blanket started around here somewhere. Red/Turquoise it is. I should haul that thing out and work on it some more. I'm looking forward to seeing how your scarf turns out. Scritches to the puppies!
Heather, I'm hoping the scarf will be three times as wide as the first strip. I only have one skein of yarn and it's a very distinct stripe pattern, so we will see! Of course I can measure and calculate and all that, but it'll take away all the fun in anticipation and guess work, right? ;-)
Ooo, this should be interesting.
