New Project: Autumn Branches 秋树

ProjectAutumn Branches 秋树
Pattern: Branching Out by Susan Lawrence, free download on Ravelry
Yarn: Pajolo Alpacas Lace Weight
Yardage:  2.1oz, 200 yards
Needles: Size 8
Cast on: December 18, 2011

Notes: Extremely fine yarn on relatively big needles, and you get lace. I bought this yarn at Stitches a few years ago. It's so fine and delicate, it wants to become something very sweet and lady-like. It's very soft too, you know, like good alpaca should. There is not much yardage, so a very lacy scarf seems to be the answer.

Happy Fiber Arts Friday! Join the party on Andrea's blog and leave me a comment!

That scarf is beautiful...and so is that yarn. Alpaca is the best and totally perfect for that lacey scarf.

I can only imagine how sloft and lovely that yarn is. Alpaca is such a wonderful fiber to work with. That"s also a perfect pattern for that amount of fiber, great job!

Agreed on the alpaca - you can't go wrong with it for a lace scarf like that.

Can't wait for the blocking magic to happen.

I have a lacy alpaca cowl that is really, really warm. I love it. Yours will be fabulous!
