Emma's Lady E Sweater, Wet Blocking

I need a cute purse and some heels.
Emma is a great model
Where are my pearls and diamonds?

In the recent cold snap Emma the puppy complained how cold it was to go outside at night, or to attend weekend dog training classes. What's a knitter to do! There is not really a pattern, and the yarns are assorted left over from my stash. We are both very happy with the result.

Ouch!
Can you see the big E?
Last week I asked about wet blocking. Beth at Green Planet Yarn let me borrow the blocking board, wires, and pins from the store, so I re-blocked Grant Teton Shawl. The result is great, the shawl grew at least couple of inches, at least on Daniella the mannequin.

Looks like the shawl is in torture chamber

While I was at it, I re-blocked the Oslo Walk Shawl too, since the edging can use some better definition. I don't care too much for the wires, but pins and board can really make a difference. Looks like there will be shopping in the future.

Happy Friday! Join the party on Andrea's blogTami's blog, and leave me a comment!

Wet blocking can work wonders, especially with lace! I love the wires, but they're more useful on straight edges, in my experience. Everything turned out great!

Doggies are adorable (although Rascal, get over it already). :) Love the doggie sweaters, and yes, the E is visible (once you mentioned it).

And how have you been blocking before? I'm not a big wire fan, but pins and room are essential (although the board is optional - I don't have one and I manage just fine). I absolutely love how the reblocking made your Grand Teton really shine.

Adorable pictures of your doggie sweater. Must say I love blocking wires. I use them all the time.

For blocking boards, I got some foamy playroom tiles at a hardware store. I'd rather have a solid color, but they'll do.

The doggies are so cute in their sweaters!

I covet your shawls. Ad I'm jealous of your doggies! My cats will only lie on hand knits. They refuse to wear them!

LOVE LOVE the doggy sweaters. My dogs can't wear them because the sweaters really matt up their chest hair. Those shawls are stunning.

Your shawls are fabulous! I enjoy blocking things, they come out so nicely. It's the perfect finish. Emma's sweater is super cute. Rascal doesn't seem to be giving it the admiration that she'd like though. I see she thinks she can bully him into submission though. LittleDog says thanks for the kisses and sends some sniffs right back.
