England Spoke Progress

My Olympics project is still going, tho I'm not confident it will be completed by Sunday night. I have finished the back, right front (the "spoke"), and the left front is more than half way done. Then I still have both sleeves left, well, unless I decide it's going to be a vest. With the wool yarn and stockinette on the bottom, some severe steam blocking will be needed before piecing together.

I got a new camera this week and had to test it on my children.
first shot, bad focus
Much better. (Is this one more handsome?)
In the last couple of weeks Henry has done a lot of writing on his blog. He finally finished a story he's been writing since before he was eight years old, Pug That Always Finished Second. Take a look, it's quite interesting. His blog, Otter World is linked in my blogroll.

Happy Fiber Arts Friday! Join the party on
Andrea's blog and leave me a comment!

oooh, I do hope you finish your project. My socks won't get done. On sock number 4, I'm losing my momentum. Oh, they'll get done but later than expected.

Off to check out Harry's blog.

So sweet, I love that you have inspired him to write his own blog! The gradient of the color on the sweater is so pretty, I really like it. I'll bet you can finish it in time, you are a quick knitter!

What a wonderful husband he will make one day!
I hope that your project will be completed in time, but either way, it will be beautiful!

Still impressed that you intend to finish a whole sweater in 2 weeks.

Have fun with your new camera.

So what type of camera did you get? That pic of Henry is great, and I'll get over to his blog to read his short story. A writer. :)

I do love how your Ravellenic sweater is working up - that colorway is just super. I wanted to get through 2 shawls and a cowl during the games, but think I'll only finish two projects, not three. Oh well ... still a sucess, but c'est la vie and all that.

VdV, I got a Nikon Coolpix S9300, a better point and shoot than what I had before. I really wanted a DSLR, after debating for months, just can't justify the cost vs. ease of use. During my research more than one person said "the best camera is the one in your hand". I can't imagine toting around a huge camera to all the music and sports events. This one is small enough to fit in the purse, but good enough to take decent pictures (better than the phone that is).
