Fall in the Garden, and Dogs

My husband planted a Fuyu persimmon for me when we first moved into this house about three years ago. This year I'm getting over two dozens of nice plump fresh persimmons. Lovely! The garden looks big only because the dog is so small. The persimmon tree is in the far corner where the wooden fence meets the wall. Bucky guards the back door.

I'd never seen persimmons growing! Not a lot of those in Ohio. ;)

Also - good to have such a handsome watchdog.

What a beautiful garden! And Bucky looks like the king of the world standing on the bench.

I've got a mean recipe for Persimmon Bread Pudding. It calls for 1 cup persimmon pulp.
