This looks like a long list, and I'm quite amazed I did finished all of them (patting self on the back). One of my happiest things in knitting is to blog every Thursday night, and then read others' entries and comments on Friday. Thank you my blog friends for being part of my knitting life.

Squares in Variation Finale 方块块

ProjectSquares in Variation
PatternChameleon Scarf by Lorilee Beltman, Interweave Knits Spring 2008
Yarn: Odds and ends of Noro and hand dyed yarns
Yardage: A big bag
Needles: Size 6 and 8
Cast on: November 12, 2012
Cast off: December 16, 2012
Cost: estimate about $20, but leftover doesn't count, right?
Previous entries: Beginning, still going
Notes: This is a fun pattern. Casting on and knitting on five double points is surprisingly difficult and awkward. I liked knitting this scarf, but I'm also very glad it's finished, not to mention I barely had enough time to finish it before my son's school's winter break. I gave it to Ms. Anderson on Monday and Henry reported that she had been showing it to others at school this week. I'm very pleased.

Traveling Baby Sweater Update

Remember The Traveling Baby Sweater? It first went to England, then Chicago, then Seattle, now it's back in the bay area, to my friend Eleen. Here are some lovely pictures I received from the moms.

Baby Tara donned her daddy's sailor hat. Isn't she adorable?

The moms are keeping a journal for the sweater too. It's so nice to see what the babies and the sweater had done in each visit. I'm so glad that others are taking on the idea and willing to share a slice of their babies' childhood with me.

More Squares Needed

These squares are taking a lot longer than I anticipated. I really thought I should have the scarf done already, but oh well, I want the scarf to be a good size and there will be more squares.

I have some delicious yarn in the pipeline, waiting for the next project to start.
